/leftypol/ far predates chapo, norwoodism, and the "dirtbag left". Analyzing it as an outgrowth of said phenomena is missing the mark.
The last time I've visited /leftypol/ must have been 2017, but from the personalities and and posts related I can remember it seems to me like the Hazoid Infrared sphere is much more an outgrowth of a certain brand of /leftypol/ poster. Meanwhile the more anarchist and libertarian brand of /leftypol/ poster mostly atrophied into the mass of twitter trannies. Chapo/irony bro leftists seemed to me to have originated separately and then converged with /leftypol/ around 2017-18.
