When I was younger picking a female character felt very gay and trannyish. Even in my teen years I wished fighting games didn’t have female characters because I wouldn’t play as them. Now anime and porn have rotted away my brain so I don’t have that disgust response anymore and I’m happy to play as sexy female characters. Maybe there is a parenting lesson in here.

Picking female characters has always been troonish behavior. Unless you are forced to by the game, in which case, that is a different matter. When picking a Hero of the Story (in this case, a Hero of the Race Course) one naturally gravitates towards the realistic option: Bowser.

However, it never felt gay to play as Sheik in Smash Bros. Tomboy aesthetic? Not clear. Further investigation needed.

The problem with video games in general, gooning and picking female characters is distortion of proprioception. Gooning isn't merely masturbation it is focusing on the penis sensation. Do you remember when you first played video games and you yanked the controller or your head as if to move in a direction faster, as if your body bore a true relation to the avatar?
