Did you play as a Spartan or Elite in Halo multiplayer when given the choice?

Hypothesis: Neuroatypical choices in Mario Kart characters (such as Mario) will correlate to the choice of Spartan, while my fellow intellectuals (Yoshibros, Toaders, etc) will side with the Covenant. A trend will appear even when adjusted for the predominance of Spartan players generally.

If you have played Halo but are too young to have played in a game which allowed you to choose: please choose which option you believe you would pick if you are at least somewhat familiar with the series. The Not Applicable option should be picked if you are completely unfamiliar with Halo.
Another good quiz— but color choice is equally important (and the only option prior to 2).

I always chose a white Spartan, starting in CE online— because I considered it to be the most "anime":

Sometimes out of boredom (if I was playing CE/2/3 frequently) I would alternate colors (or play as an Elite), but white Spartan remained my favorite.
I never actually played much multiplayer because of my decrepit Australian internet access at the time (sub third world tier). Split screen with my cousins I did like the elite after I found the option. Thought it was a giant novelty. Found it cool how he'd hold weapons different and such. But I also love the spartan design, so I don't know. Guess I'll vote elite.

Next test, which armour do you like?

I remember seeing a funny expanded meme version of this going around a few times which I can't find now which tells you who you are based on preference. Elite is "tranny", my favourite, the Mark V is "based retard". I guess because it's more primitive looking? I like it because it resembles the CE suit the most, which was easily the best design in all of Halo. The others all look overdesigned to me. Fake plastic lego armour to CE's armoured soldier. CE also looks good in any colour, while 2 and especially 3 onwards they start looking garish a lot of the time.

Kind of related to what I was just saying about physicality on tbc (and maybe other places), the lower poly count probably helps the CE suit. Every detail feels real. He's not covered in lego greebling. Also his basic shiny polished surfaces (nicest effect they could render on early xbox visuals) looks the most like metal.
I would pick yellow Elite because the Zealot's in campaign (the badass one's that carried swords for the philistines amongst us) were always that color.

Though they remade it kind of silly imo:

Also bonus councilor/Honor Guard from a glitch:

Elite designs in Halo 2 were quite good in general:

It's a shame they axed the Covenant aspects of the campaign. Even just visiting the Swords of Sangehelios (Arbiter's faction) camp in Halo 5 was more memorable than most of the missions in the new trilogy. IIRC it was because a significant portion of the audience didn't understand they were playing as an Elite despite being told and kept firing on their own guys. Just wouldn't register for a lot of children. It doesn't help that these characters are the one's who give you in-game explanation for with the Brutes are now after you.

I'll believe there's a future for Halo beyond lootboxes when they make a game starring the Sanghelli, clearly the most interesting race in the series. I'll even grudgingly buy it if you get to play as Covenant in some capacity (you used to be able to Halo: Custom Edition for the PC and it was kino).

I always picked the EOD helmet. I forget the names for the rest of the armor in Reach but I always tried a "heavy" look with extra ammo pouches, gear etc. Its what fit to me, just as much as coloring my Spartan blue and red-cream.

Bliss.
I play as a purple Spartan and use Security armor if it's available.

Blue EOD. Official Guest choice by the way.
Tied between Spartan and Elite so far.

iirc Halo 3's ratio was 90% Spartan.

As a teenager I picked EOD and Hayabusa in 3, because they had smaller/eyes (and I can't remember which body parts I picked).
If I was playing now, I'd pick Security because it looks like '80s - '90s cold war inspired sci-fi book cover bullshit (mundane, comparatively "street" against the other more sci-fi options).

If I had actual control, I would've come up with something like Emile-A239— the Vincent Valentine of Halo (technically more like Spawn since he's a nigger).

Elite is tranny choice because of larger thighs and specifically digitigrade legs (MewTwo), but large two toed "hooves" are also relevant.. I would apply this to "robot" (or any other) designs as well, with some odd exceptions— such as Metal Gear REX and RAY (RAY would be the more furry choice because it's comparatively ichthyic, allowing it to be "(mis)read" in the way furries do).

So true.

I don't remember what my exact Reach build was (best armor set btw) but I remember having one shoulder with the massive hemicylindrical guard on it--the one Carter has in the campaign--and another with a smaller, but still big shoulder guard.

--looking at Reach helmets to see which one I used--

The one I used was GUNGNIR, always thought that was the meanest looking one, but EOD is kickass.
