yes, there are people alive around here, but this is a slow forum, with an emphasis on effortposts.

a ok xd
There's a consistent number of users that show up daily (myself included), and those who periodically check up on the state of the forum. Effortposting is preferable to low-quality spamming, but any new user can play a decisive role in attracting forum attention (provided that the posts are good enough OR frequent enough). Unibro was a good example of this despite being banned now.
I am uninspired lately

What are some hot topics that can revitalize this forum? Is there anyone willing to take the time to look for these or research topics just for forum posting?

I’m disappointed that the religion/supernatural thread doesn’t get more activity because that seems like it would be the most fun. I think a thread dedicated to urban legends and other small time paranormal phenomenon would be both easy to research for and hold a keener interest over more mainstream things.

Also why doesn’t the history section get more action? The Nazis, Fascists, and a lot of other cool topics to discuss. Also European history in general seems interesting because it’s where like most things in the world were invented. Also maybe a thread on industrialization and unions. This is a very interesting topic because for a number of reasons but one is it’s connection to Marxism and leftism in general. I know Lenin felt that workers simply becoming class conscious would only lead them to unionize and that would in fact deprive them of their revolutionary spirit once their needs were met. The wobblies are also interesting.

It is extremely easy for religious discussion to become boring and stale very quickly. I don't believe that there is really much to say that hasn't already been said, so if you're a bad writer or lack creativity, there's not much fun in the discussion. Take the Christianity thread, for example. As you can see, and much to my disappointment, most of the tens of thousands of characters put forward there have derailed the conversation into 'In Defense of der Jude'. Gemaric fist-shaking isn't all that deeply appealing to many people, myself included.

My guess is that more threads in the Multimedia Software Appreciation subforum would be a good way of capturing everyone's attention. The Undertale thread did that for a time, and someone could stoke the flames again there. History could be a good avenue too but it would require a select set of users participating over a short period of time to get the ball rolling.

This was mostly my intent in creating the Anomalous Figures thread. I eventually plan on creating a Negative Architecture thread at some point in The Grail, since this was originally associated with the paranormal. It would comprise some elements of the "liminal spaces" idea but also open things up to other territories. I will have to read a few books before making this thread, but if you'd like this then I could make it happen sometime around the end of October or early November. As for urban legends in particular, I kind of regret placing "Fortean" in the title, since that is too broad of a category for a single paranormal thread. There's a lot you can do with the phrase "Fortean", urban legends included. Forgive the vertical length of the image below, I am using it as an example:

Suffice to say, an urban legend thread can be made provided that other users are interested in at least a few incidents.
I blame myself. I've been really tired, and have been trying to jolt myself back up by going to some other places online for novel stimulation. Written a few textwalls on another forum with a different class of userbase with mildly interesting results. Really I should just be pushing myself to do my own thing. We'll see if that gets happening. Can make threads here shortly maybe. Also I need to write about undertale.
There's nothing wrong with slow forums.

Post in the Strauss thread. Depending on where you stand, @ casual rapist will duel. If you're in it for the love of combat you can just take the position opposite him... that could be good fun.

TSMT, they prefer their secret club over Sensible Open Discussion.
The only thing that lives in these parts is Templism. Immortal. Destined to succeed.
I haven't really had the time to read the forum or post. The only thing I read over the last few months was Jeremy's diary. But is the forum being slow really such a bad thing? More posters rarely means more quality. As long as Peter Thiel is willing to pay for this, I'm glad it exists.
I've been dive-bombing other forums a little. Otherwise just consuming piles of data and media and telling myself I'll work it into something worthwhile down the line.

Where have you been posting? Besides tunis bay club.

I may reveal that shortly. Might be some stuff of interest there to some of you.
