Echoing @Carbide, I would love to see another age of adventure taking place in Africa, another colonial age where the continent is brought to heel and made fit for a White man to live there. It's amazing to me how many man hours, years, and other resources were poured into Africa by European powers, all to just leave it in the state it's in now. Instead of occupying it, and further building it up into some organization of stable states administered by White men, we've decided to instead allow blacks to try and run it themselves, all the while giving them enormous benefits in terms of food, medicine, and the building of important infrastructure. It's like Western governments are tacitly admitting these people are too retarded to look after themselves (which they are, of course). I'm reminded of this guy Louis Theroux did an interview with years back, an old Boer, that said he wanted to become a kind of Lawrence of South Africa, and build up his locality into something special. I agree with his sentiment that the entire European world backed out of the African project and just left them there to struggle, something that still annoys me to this day, but I am inspired by his vision and the fire he must have within him to continually try and save a dying continent. I hope he is doing well...

As is often the case, I think things will have to get worse before they get better; as it stands, adventurism in Africa is near impossible because the Western nations themselves won't allow it. If Herr Scholz in Germany received word that young Aryan men were organizing a paramilitary group to set up a little colony in Südwestafrika, I'm sure the Polizei would be kicking down your door in no time. And secondly, while the African countries are undoubtedly poorly organized, and incredibly corrupt, they receive a massive stream of funds from the West that allows those at the top to maintain some kind of stability. The amount of money they receive in aid is basically a buffer against would-be paramilitaries taking them on; and I'm sure the Western nations funding them know this, too. The billions don't go towards developing in Africa into a continent that will equal the West, it all goes to maintaining a modicum of stability so that the whole fucking place doesn't collapse.

 But obviously this can't go on forever: the African population continues to grow in lieu of Western nations making sure they don't go through massive famines and die-offs from disease, this means that keeping the stability grows harder by the decade. More people means more food, which means more people, which means etcetc. Meanwhile the Western nations themselves are beginning to go through their own sort of decline.  At some point the well must dry up, and the West will have to stop sending the necessary funds to Africa (and other nations in the global south), and then the true signs of collapse will really begin in places like Africa. The collapse will breed chaos, in that chaos many strong men will have to fight to forge a new future for Africa. That is when the age of the mercenary and the adventurer will really come back.
