Notes on the Vargosphere
The_Author
"The Vargosphere" is the informal association of neo-pagans who are aligned with Varg Vikernes. They exist almost exclusively on Twitter, to the extent that any Varg-pagan anywhere else is not in contact with the main group unless they are on Twitter. This is because Varg himself, and his wife Marie, are on Twitter. Varg is banned periodically, but he always comes back.

-The Vargosphere exists as a result of the cult of personality of Varg, and it would not continue to exist without him. His and his wife's philosophy, that the pagan myths are MetAPhoRs fOr ReProdUcTion, is not sufficient to bring people together. Necessary, but not sufficient, to bring them together, are Varg's hints about his social views.

-The aforementioned philosophy is not even necessary to bring the Varg-pagans together. There is no such thing as a person who "ardently believes that Odin hanging from the world tree was really a metaphor for the placenta". It exists only as something people say they agree with, in order to be accepted by the group.

-Incredibly sycophantic community. All posts are constant regurgitations of the same ideas, usually which stem from Varg. Everyone trying to please Varg, as he is sparing with praise but liberal with disagreement, and disagreement usually bars all hope of friendship.

-Very many women, especially for a community like that. All the books on paganism are devised by Varg's wife, so appeals to women. Plus, focus on homesteading and raising families.

-These women are usually somewhat high quality, though there is something "socially weird" about them that I could never identify. Same with the men, though the men are slightly lower quality than the women and some (usually South Americans) are ugly weirdos who are duly distanced from the main group. Many are more intelligent than the sycophantic framework allows them to express, but they don't care because they are not interested in theorizing.

-All involved are of a very "selective" nature. Somehow, almost every account is followed by more people than they follow. Enhances the gatekeeping of the community.

-Much of the discourse consists of lamentations that can easily be solved by the community itself, but aren't. All want to find a plot of land somewhere and live a simple life there with family and friends. Given the amount of women present, this can easily be achieved, but I can't think of one case where it happened. They are paranoid about feds, so meeting in person doesnt happen.

To me, it seems like the community is "on pause". It clearly has a certain destiny: the creation of Varg inspired neo-pagan homesteading families. All members are conscious of this destiny, and they wouldn't want it any other way. Yet everyone endlessly harps on it rather than actually doing it.

Edit: assuming everyone knows, but for the anthropological record: Varg-pagans are pro-European, racists, primitivists, apolitical, and believe in a vague future political apocalypse.

They are literally all just autistic.

The average christian also doesn't care whether Jesus was miaphysite or monophysite, they agree with their denomination in order to be accepted by the group. Congratulations, you have figured out how human societies work.

The women all look like the types who "love books" to me. These weird theater girls who read 5000 shit genre fiction and YA novels you've never heard of every year. They can be kind of pretty, but they're also undeniably weird.

As I said, they are autistic: they are the female equivalent of an Amarnite. I think we have a "pot calling the kettle black" situation, here, unless you think that everyone here is actually tapped in?

I can't say because I have no idea what you mean by autistic, tapped in, or amarnite.

Amarnites are those who support BAP, Nigel Carlsbad, Jawn, Jim, and this forum.

Jawn would be the twitter account Jawn_117 and Jim is the author of Jim's Blog, neoreaction type guy I believe, but someone more versed in online rw history could maybe go into more detail.

I was highly attracted to the Vargosphere before Varg came out with his belief in placenta's being Divine etc. They seemed to be people who embraced ecology in a non-larpy way and to have a real understanding of the connection between the decline of our race and the sundering of our race from the natural world. Many of Varg's earlier writings on the Thulean Perspective blog are still really good if you can appreciate them without the taint of what he would end up saying later. He had a post on there about "Hamingja" that I always found interesting.

Really? That sounds completely plausible and I haven't been keeping up with this. Very funny if so.

Yes, without a doubt. He admits to it himself. He believed none of that stuff before he met her. The placenta theory belongs to his "brilliant wife".

>believe placentas are magic or something
>get loyal blonde wife and 5 beautiful aryan children

Good deal.

Wife with a birthing fetish and kooky fertility religion + neo-nazi neo-pagan arsonist black metal musician = a happy marriage with 7+ children.

Him and his wife were my introduction into this space, back in Spring 2020. Without him naming the Jew, or playing Counter-Strike: IRL with his children, I would probably be a vaxxed leftist right now. His critique of the modern world might be juvenile compared to what we see nowadays, but he's an honourary dissident, in my opinion, with considerable reach, to boot. As others have noted, whatever "placenta cult" schlock him, his wife, or his followers believe in, if it in-effect compels young Europeans to breed and defend against the Negroid onslaught on their borders, then it has to at least be worth something, right?

I wouldn't say you should entirely emulate him, though, or even look up to him - he spent his best years behind bars, and upon release, was lucky enough to have an autistic fangirl to latch onto. I think he's making the best of a bad situation - good on him - and while there's something to be said about his approach to modernity, his is not the ultimate way to power.

here's a good article from Vark Vikernes about how the ancient hunter gatherer society had all of them an homogenous intelligence and didn't need social classes because all of its members were equally smart who were capable of many abilities at the same time : https://thuleanperspective.com/2020/11/1...-struggle/

https://archive.is/mkhfW

" The nomadic hunter-gatherer had a very homogenous intelligence level. Everyone was pretty much of the same intelligence level, because the society was one where everyone had to know about the same and have the same abilities. It promoted the “Jack of All Trades” (and master of them all…), forcing everyone to perform well on all fields. "

"The above is true, but yes, it is simplified to make a point. In reality, the ones with poor skills and abilities would simply more often fail. The result was that the intelligence and ability level was forcibly maintained at a high level. Yes, maintained by the force of Mother Nature.

The nomadic hunter-gatherers were few and note that they had no different social classes. Everyone was the same, because everyone had the same skills and abilities. Those that differed from the rest in a negative way would die out. If not immediately, then over time. Because the families were all left alone, in the wilderness, and any and all incapable families would more rarely succeed out there. "

"Then came Communism, or if you like; Marxism. I will use the Soviet Union as an example, because what happened there is so evident to those who look at it. First of all they removed (killed…) or enslaved (forced into GULags or working class jobs) the elite of the Russian society (the smarter owners). Secondly they removed the barriers that had previously prevented intermarriage between the social classes. In the USSR the “owner” would marry the “slave” as often as not. They were encouraged to, directly or indirectly. “There are no social classes! We are all the same!”

The result (after only some generations) of this mixing of classes was a man not smart enough to perform the tasks of the owner, but still a man too smart to perform the tasks of the worker. This of course is code for “a criminal”…. one just smart enough to understand that he can break the rules and get away with it."

"Here in “the West” we have had a similar reduction of overall quality of man, not just because of of the general negative effects of agriculture and civilization, but also because of the equally bad Capitalism and it’s cultivation of greed at the expense of all qualities of man, but in a different way. Not in a better way, nor any less, but in a different way. I might discuss that another time, but today I just wished to point out that social classes are a result of agriculture and civilization, both utterly destructive to mankind, and the mixing of these social classes don’t bring all up to the same or indeed a better level, but instead drag most down to the lowest levels of mankind. That of a criminally corrupt individual or that or that of a seriously stupid worker.

If you are from the working class yourself, I can throw you a bone here, and remind you of the fact that if you are better than the average worker, you will rise up from that cesspool and no longer be working class."

I enjoyed his videos very much, he offered good insight on a lot of stuff, some of his stories were very interesting, especially his prison anecdotes.

In one of his videos he related about his police raid, he was being harassed by the media for being a ''terrorist'' so much he ended up being raided by the police in the dead of the night, they busted open his door and came in pointing guns at him and his family, and made a mess of the whole place. It's common police procedure to announce themselves when they raid someone and they never did that, they knew he had guns in the house and according to him, they wanted him to react by shooting a possible intruder so they could legally murder him.
