Not my favorite Iggy Pop song but I find it funny how you could just write a song about fucking sixteen year olds back in the 70s and no one cared. Will share another Iggy Pop song, covered by Bowie (which people tend to know more) but I like his version a lot better.

The Plants - And No-One's Talking - YouTube
Lighthearted Aussie Post-Punk with some playfully vampiric synths. A song that floats, like giving structure to Arthur Russell.

Great song. Here's another Aussie post-punk song, but with less synths. I really love a lot of Nick Cave's work, it's got a rather groyperous quality to it.

My dad LOVES Birthday Party. Used to jam this on cassette when I was a kid. Maybe explains why I have such an attachment for noise music.

A rare example of japanese grunge. Her albums only got made because a major american producer happened to hear her demo and flew her over to the US to record, so all the background instruments are members of soundgarden and pearl jam. She basically stopped making music after that. Her official youtube channel has a handful of new songs, but they're all, and I kid you not, Resident Evil AMVs set to original music. Remember: Video Games are Opium for autistic people.

Every part of that is fantastic.
