I don't know anything about the artist or painting in general so I'm probably way off, but to me it looks like a monkey in a zoo going crazy and the weird background is kind of reinforcing how crazy it's making him. Is this famous or something?

I think any person from our side evaluating the arts has to demonstrate similar ability in "telling it like it is" as in politics. The point that this stuff is overhyped and sucks may be crude but ultimately is correct. No dissident will ever carve out an appropriate niche in the art world without having some balls and risking ones own cynicism being turned against them, or seeing themselves accused of the leftist "le projecting" charge. Basquiat is just fake and gay shit and his main function in life is an ethnic purse puppy for a very specific ancient type of shitlib artfag, who is obviously pushing a very specific belief about the races and various peoples of the world. It is absolutely impossible to approach this stuff with the slightest bit of honesty without starting from this point. Unfortunately, this also justifies and explains precisely the mediocrity of it. If Basquiat was representing anger or some other thing true to himself maybe he'd be a worthy artist, but in reality he's tangled up in the same mentality that leads to relaxing college admission standards for niggers and inseperable from it. And does his stuff really hit you, or move you in any way? No, not really. It's mostly void in emotional content and overemphasizes style, which is to say visual edginess. It's stupid and small minded and meaningless.

I'm not sure what you're really trying to say but my impression it comes from the "bad artists are bad because they express dysfunction and ugliness" school of thought which is absolutely incorrect and stupid.
