I suggest a forum with higher secretiveness, not for entertainment or intellectual discussion, but for personal semi-doxxable matters. I am in a bit of a pickle financially and would like counsel from some Internet frens as I have no family and not any irl frens who can give counsel right now.

I mean for users who are known, sphag, Trep, myself, NJR, HSG, casco, Mussolini scholar, etc. Nothing criminal or doxxable or controversial, but the more data points are known about an alias the geometrically closer you get to their identity, so this would be an extra imposition for nosy malevolent mediocrities.

Visual themes/colour schemes? I liked the layout and look of the last site and adjusting to red and white feels wrong.

Previous forum layout was superior. Wishlist: Post should be narrower, like 1/3 of screen (640 pixels), 1/2, at most, even if that wastes a lot of space it makes it much more readable. Posts should be separated horizontally between Avatar and user information and post content. Avatars should be larger. There should be a link to read recent posts.

Would like it if the brightness/colour contrast between the icons for threads with vs without new posts was a bit greater - when browsing on low brightness, they're a bit hard to distinguish without moving closer to the screen
