You need some definition around the text. A white shadow with a blur aught to do.

Very nice. I would add 20% to 50% alpha to the shadow or change it to a papyrus color thoughever as a personal choice.

Just a nitpick but I think the compass should be behind or under the text if you can do that. I like the lion one too.

I'm not sure why but imgur just doesn't cooperate with us. I use 'imgbb'. It works every time. Very easy.
