A word on bap, since this thread exists: as much as I love his book, he sort of annoys me too much for me to actively follow him online, mostly because of the sorts of people he surrounds himself with and promotes. I'm talking about Delicious Tacos more than anyone, but it's the sort of Fight Club-inspired gen-x culture of being eternally juvenile and purely destructive in outlook. You can even find this embedded in bapbook through his framing of the concept of "space" (generally cited as its greatest contribution, and not to speak badly of it in itself) - what he admits to being a specifically developmental necessity, something of concern to youth, but at the same elevates as the utmost center of (adult) life. Youth has no destination, nothing beyond. Here come the emotionally stunted 45yos.

The other side of it, beyond this rationalization, is just that PUA types disgust me on a visceral level, and DT goes a step further in being the particular sort of "Christian" who holds himself up as, in some subtle way, a righteous man for openly admitting his own wickedness (and nothing else) - more righteous than say, Roosh, because he finds him judgmental, and Jesus said not to judge, man. The absolute worst sort. Enough, to me, to be unclean by mere association.

I'm inclined to agree with all of this. BAP himself is clearly not stupid if you give him some time, but the way he presents himself and leads people along lends itself to a lot of retards cargo-culting a few of his basic ideas and creating what are basically classical themed manosphere extensions, with all of the typical failings and faggotry. Occasionally he'll denounce one that gets too embarrassing but then continue writing like a retard and generally indulging them.

Did he ever explain why he writes in such an infantile way online? Whatever his professed reasons, to me it seems like a trick to avoid intimidating anybody with too much seriousness or elitism, when that's exactly what his professed beliefs should call for at all times. There's no greater BAPsphere he's responsible for when a guy named 'Achilles' who was obviously a product of his influence gets humiliated off of twitter, but then he continues to plug 'Cerberus Slept', a book so bad I'd make a study of it if I didn't feel bad for the author.

I'm pretty lukewarm on DT. Something he did pissed me off like countersignaling racism or retweeting CRK. Don't remember. I think he is a good writer though.

Roosh is a textbook case of slave morality. He got too old and brown and beat down by life to continue fucking white girls, neglected to get a wife, and now claims that he could still fuck 10/10 girls from Madison, Wisconsin but chooses not too because it's "evil", then encourages young white men to put sexual limitations on themselves by choice that he now follows by necessity. As far as I am concerned he is an enemy of the white race since he browbeats based young white men into stopping themselves from taking actions that could financially improve their life or lead to reproducing with high IQ and hot girls. As icycalm says, he is a monomaniacal spergy Muslim who has zealously follows a faith to the point of stupidity. His faith used to be the atheist PUA redpill faith, now it is a Muslimized version of the Christcuck faith. In the former he was a brown invader who practically raped hundreds of white girls including a few virgins and in the latter he subverts the white race with his Holier Than Thou preaching, telling right-wing white men to castrate themselves. Some of his writing is practical and valuable, but fuck that Muslim loser.

I actually don't mind bap's intelligent-but-anti-intellectual writing style (which is supposed to throw off and mock any sort of academic posturing), nor his parody accent. I could see the novelty wearing off though. Agree that his direct "followers" seem like retards, for whatever reason. Roosh is an inherently silly and embarrassing person (that is to say, an Armenian), but for what it's worth means well, I think, according to what little capacity he has. Recognizing his behavior as evil and denouncing it as such, regardless of whatever personal circumstances may have encouraged this, puts him leagues above the lispy limp-wristed DT (too much time among women has rubbed off on him, is my impression).

Roosh, though it takes him decades, finally realizes that happiness is elsewhere, and goes looking for it. DT from the beginning decides happiness to be impossible, declares so laughingly, and scorns anyone who dares to suggest otherwise, out of deadening fear that he might one day be held responsible for what could have been.

BAP has always walked the tightrope between being a pervert troll and a serious commentator on contemporary politics and history. He's talked about adopting the name "Bronze Age Pervert" many times on Caribbean Rhythms, it's to make professional who try to argue with him look silly: "look at this bluecheck journalist, working himself into a fume over a guy named 'Bronze Age PERVERT.'" He plays a character, but there's actually some good history to be found in certain episodes of CR, as well as film criticism and analysis of thinkers. Has also written rather good articles in different right-wing publications, and those articles hold up as well as any "serious" person in the rw twitter sphere. He's not an intellectual and abhors the title, he doesn't want to be a Super Serious 'Read Books' poster. He's an astute critic and humorist.

He doesn't mention LD by name, but it seems to obviously be about him. Found the comparison to Charlie Kirk especially funny because of the absolute disdain LD has for people like him, brings mind him calling Carlsbad a 'stupid Charlie Kirk or a stupid Stephen Colbert' in one of his spaces. It seems like even by-the-book liberals can easily see through his pseudo-intellectual schtick.

It's a tedious listen because Logo went on the stream without any actual thesis he wanted to debate, so it's just a meandering conversation between two people who aren't friends. It seems like he was hoping Destiny would provide a debate topic for him, or that he could just show up and look cool. He publicly fellates himself over how many books he's read, but what good has it done him when he has nothing important to say?
