Great album. I was a bit of a vinylfag in highschool and early college so that's one of the few albums I own on vinyl. Big fan of Eno's stuff, I think my favorite from him has always been Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)

Apparently the guy made this album while temporarily blind after having both of his retinas detach and needing surgery. McAloon essentially made this by listening to and recording television shows, radio programs, chat shows, citizens band conversations, etc. The whole album is alright but this opening track is what really shines.

Not my favorite Iggy Pop song but I find it funny how you could just write a song about fucking sixteen year olds back in the 70s and no one cared. Will share another Iggy Pop song, covered by Bowie (which people tend to know more) but I like his version a lot better.

The Plants - And No-One's Talking - YouTube

Lighthearted Aussie Post-Punk with some playfully vampiric synths. A song that floats, like giving structure to Arthur Russell.

Great song. Here's another Aussie post-punk song, but with less synths. I really love a lot of Nick Cave's work, it's got a rather groyperous quality to it.

My dad LOVES Birthday Party. Used to jam this on cassette when I was a kid. Maybe explains why I have such an attachment for noise music.
